Tests, Tests and, More Tests

Yesterday more than 850,000 tests were processed, eclipsing the previous highest day (May 10th) of 526,000. We say process because many of those tests were administered in earlier days. Over the past two days, more than 1.3 million tests have gone through the cycle, 11% of all recorded tests to date.
What is encouraging is that the ratio of negative tests is dropping, less confirmed cases. Over the last ten days, all but one was below 10%. Even more heartening is that yesterday’s positive rate was below 3%, meaning 97 of those that had a test were not infected with COVID 19. It appears the US healthcare system has made adaptations to handle the virus. Indeed, a tip of the cap goes to all those care providers. Thank you.
