Yesterday was an EIGHT Green Arrow Day. Saturday was a TEN Green Arrow Day.
Summary for Week Ending August 30, 2020
Good Morning,
Yesterday was an EIGHT Green Arrow Day, and Saturday was a TEN Green Arrow Day. Below are the particulars for Sunday.
New cases are continuing the positive trend by dropping nearly 40% since the week ended July 19, 2020. This marks the sixth consecutive week of new cases decreasing. We stated a several weeks ago; there was substantial evidence that the second wave has subsided, and these past week’s results continue to support our supposition.
There were almost 500,000 more tests last week as schools, colleges, and universities opened across the country. Many of the schools had mandatory testing to protect the children, teachers, and those others employed by school systems, thus causing the spike in testing. This is a good sign in that there are more tests and fewer cases.
New Cases:
New cases have dropped over the last five weeks. That is a 37.9% reduction since the week ending July 19, 2020.
Tests:
The US completed 471,953 more tests last week compared to the week before. We suspect that the mandatory test that schools, colleges and universities are requiring contributed to the spike in testing.
