Sunday was a SEVEN Green Arrow Day.
Interesting Comparison
Good Morning,
The “New Case” graph (below) shows a significant spike in new cases. The magnitude is such that it is clear there is a very high spread factor, much more than the previous variants.
Data can be quite meaningful if it is tabulated to provide useful information. We did some comparative analysis and we were surprised at what we learned. According to the CDC for the flu season of 2019-2020, there were between 39 and 56 million cases. In the last year, there were just over 40 million Covid (all variants) cases. In that time frame in the USA, there were about 190 million flu vaccinations. There were just over 202 million fully vaccinated for Covid, a similar number.
One of the skeptical parts of our organization quickly noted that during that time frame there were about 62,000 fatalities versus more than 400,000 for Covid. However, the question could be revisited if the scrutiny and categorizations were based on the same criteria. Today with Covid any death regardless of comorbidity factors that the patient had the virus would be classified as Covid mortality. As an example, in Florida, a young man was on a motorcycle and was rushed to the ER and unfortunately didn’t make it. He happened to have the virus and that instance was classified as one of the 400,000.
We certainly would appreciate knowing of the fatalities and severe cases, what were the comorbidity factors. Several doctors have confided in us that those with other maladies have a much higher chance of having the most adverse reaction to becoming infected.
