Sunday was a TEN Green Arrow Day.
Yesterday was a TEN Arrow Day
Good Morning,
For those long-time readers, you are aware of our daily scoring system that assigns a red or green arrow depending on whether there is a favorable or unfavorable change. It has been quite a while since we have a TEN Arrow Day. That’s very good news.
New cases fell by more than 400,000 this past week and by 3.3 million from a month ago. Furthermore, “Open Net Cases” (ONC) or germ carriers dropped by 700,000 compared to last week and a similar 3.3 million to 1.2 million. Few cases, fewer germ carriers bode well for all of us.
The “New Case” graph (below) shows another significant drop in new cases. We are getting back to the recent summer levels when Covid 19 and Covid Delta were thought to be disappearing. Data we wish we had was the detail of the varied variants. How many new cases were 19, Delta or Omicron? Wouldn’t it be enlightening to know that the vaccinations worked for the specific variant they were designed to fight? How well the first shot worked, the second, and the booster. What was the rate of infection for the vaccinated relative to each variant? How does that compare to the unvaccinated?
The information is housed somewhere or in multiple databases, but we think these are important questions we should answer. We might be better prepared for the next variant, pandemic, or other widespread maladies.
