Yesterday was a TWO Green Arrow Day.

Making an Impact

Good Morning,

Yesterday was a TWO Green Arrow Day. Below are the particulars for the day.

In our previous report, we speculated there were going to be processing catch-ups due to the holiday; indeed, there were. Los Angeles County reported 11,247 cases retroactively from July 2-5. MN, LA, NH, KY, and RI also observed the holiday, thus effecting the daily counts. That’s why it is essential to view the weekly summaries, as well, which mutes such reporting anomalies.

Encouraging news is that the fatality rate has dropped to 4.3% compared to the majority of May’s rate at 6.0%. A rate below 5% is significant because many earlier models forecast much higher ones. We anticipate that this will fall below 4.0% by the end of July.

Perhaps our newsletter is making an impact in public reporting. Ohio, which we have referenced frequently, is now including a reporting category, “Probably Recoveries.” This is similar to we way we report our “Theoretical Recoveries” statistic. We hope that this calculation spreads, excuse the pun, to other states. We believe the it is more relevant to know how many active germ carriers there are rather than just an accumulation of cases count.

Below are our recommendations.

  • Protect the small percentage of the high-risk population.
  • Isolate those geographies and places of potential contamination.
  • Get healthy, strengthen individual immune systems.
