Adding Perspective Helps

Good Morning,

New cases are on the rise but at a relatively steady versus an accelerated pace. We wanted to add perspective so we are using graphs that offer a wider and more historic view.

We borrowed a new case graph from Worldometer to show new cases from early 2020 to the present. There were three peak levels of Covid more significant to the current volume. The first was early in 2021, the second in that year’s summer, and the highest peak was in early this year. As one can see, it appears the current levels are lower and rather steady.

The second graph we also borrowed from Worldometer and it shows the mortality rates and numbers related to all of the Covid variants. The good news is that the combination of medical science, vaccinations, and herd immunity has depressed the rates to their lowest levels. Another important aspect is that those in serious condition are less than 3,000 compared to its highest ones that were over 30,000.
