Yesterday was a THREE Green Arrow Day.

One in Ten

Good Morning,

Yesterday was a THREE Green Arrow Day. Below are the particulars for the day.

We also reached a significant milestone; one in ten Americans have been tested for COVID 19. We can draw some pretty definitive conclusions. Approximately 7% of them test positive, meaning they have or had the virus. Less than 5% end up as a fatality or 0.39% of all tested. We know that half of the deaths occur in a nursing home or skilled nursing facility. Over 75% are over the age of 70 and have multiple underlying conditions.

In the last 24 out of 25 days, there were less than 1,000 fatalities, and last week’s average was less than 600 per day. Compared to May, we averaged about 1,400 per day. Many, if not most of those that contract COVID 19, were asymptomatic or had mild symptoms. This is supported by the recent CDC testing that estimates there may have been as many as ten times more infections than reported. The assumption is that very sick people would have sought professional care.

We, therefore, will reiterate our recommendations.

  1. Protect the small percentage of the high-risk population.
  2. Isolate those geographies and places of potential contamination.
  3. Get healthy, strengthen individual immune systems.
