Sunday was an EIGHT Green Arrow Day.

Vaccinations Accelerating

Good Morning,

Sunday was an EIGHT Green Arrow Day; below are the particulars.

Last week, we administered our 124.5 millionth dose in the US, of which 44.1 million had completed their vaccination regime. The two most prevalent brands (Moderna & Pfizer) require two amounts, while Johnson & Johnson’s only one has just entered the distribution channel.

The combination of the 44.1 million-plus the recorded (30.3 million) and unrecorded (73.9 million) recovers make our Herd Immunity Factor (HIF) now 148.3 million or 45% of our population. Almost half of our citizens are safe.

Last week, our Open Net Cases (ONC), those currently having the virus and can spread the germ, dropped to their lowest (510,000) level since the end of June. We would argue that this past Sunday’s number, in reality, is lower because, in June, we were still rationing tests, and many were unknowing carriers. Today testing is readily available, and in many cases required, and accordingly, we assume that there are very few unreported Covid cases.

For the first two weeks of March, we have administered a second dose to 18.6 million patients. The rate of 9.3 million would put our country at just over 50% of us as safe.

Fewer ONC’s and more of those protected, either by being recovered or vaccinated, bodes well for all concerned.
