Yesterday was a SIX Green Arrow Day.

Trends Continue to be Favorable

Good Morning:

In the last two days, results were encouraging, and the trends remain favorable. The overall US new case growth rate has dropped below 2.0% for the previous three days. In greater NYC, our most significant “Hotspot” had an increase of only 0.7% and four out of the last six days below 1.0%.

Below are the Green Arrows for yesterday compared to the day before.

Yesterday’s Newsletter showed the past couple of weeks in summary data. Again, daily fluctuations do happen because we are dealing with complexities, which are a virus, human nature, and the timing lag between collecting, processing, and reporting data. As in the case of tests, we can publish the lab results each day, but we don’t know when those tests were administered.

In regard to bias that may or not be in any of the numbers, the MAK Table tabular format in essences eliminates most of the subjectivity because we are looking at changes from one period to the next. We see numbers grow from confirmed cases/deaths to “confirm plus probable.” Whether or not “probable” cases should be counted is less important, what is relevant are the trends.
