New Cases on the Rise
Yesterday was a TEN Green Arrow Day
Good Morning,
Last week there were 69,491 more new cases or a 30% increase than the week before. A relatively small number considering that we had weekly totals of 5 million new cases in January just a few months ago. However, that increase followed a 23% from the week prior, clearly showing an acceleration.
We adjusted our “New Cases” bar chart to provide a narrower view from February 20, 2022, to the present. Notice that new cases are almost twice the size as a few weeks ago. As we have seen before, the optimistic perspective would notice a gentle slope of increases rather than spikes.
Open Net Cases (ONC) or active germ carriers increased from 296,186 to 391,156 or 32%. The 94,970 ONC increase, of course, follows new cases—still a tiny number versus January’s highest level of over 7 million ONC.
