Sunday was an EIGHT Green Arrow Day.
Summary for Week Ending September 27, 2020
Good Morning,
Yesterday was an EIGHT Green Arrow Day; below are the particulars for Sunday.
New cases are continuing their favorable trend by dropping almost 40% since the week ended July 19, 2020. However, this past week showed about the same number of cases as the week before. This most likely is attributable to the steep increase in tests performed compared to the prior two weeks. We don’t have an explanation as to why there was such an increase. A significant number of tests and the same number of cases is probably a slightly favorable result.
There were 405,444 more tests reported last week than the period ending September 13, 2020, and 1,239,932 more than the week before that. More tests and about the same number of cases means the infection rate is lower. Another sign the second wave has waned.
New Cases:
New cases have dropped over the last seven weeks. That is a 40% reduction since the week ending July 19, 2020.
Tests:
The number of tests performed last week jumped by more than 400,000 and 1.2 million compared to the week ended September 13, 2020. Last week had the most tests performed.
