Yesterday was a NINE Arrow Day
All Good and Favorable Trends
Good Morning,
The trends are very favorable, new cases, fatalities, recoveries, and a significant drop in those with the virus in intensive care. At the end of last week, there were only 4,250 in need of intensive care, compared to earlier periods that exceeded 35,000.
The “New Case” graph (below) shows the continual drop in new cases. We are back to this past summer levels when Covid 19 and Covid Delta cases were believed to be all but gone. In the United States, 215 million, or 64%, have completed their respective vaccination regimen. That number combined with those that have achieved natural immunity, probably has our country at a better than 80% Herd Immunity Factor.
Another uplifting trend is the number of active germ carriers, or as we term, Open Net Carriers (ONC’s), is down to 360,133. They haven’t been this low since last July. A very small number considering at the beginning of this year there were more than 7 million.
However, China has seen a spike in “stealth omicron” cases and is concerned about a rapid spread. The United Kingdom, Germany, Netherlands, Switzerland, and Italy have experienced an upswing in new cases, worrying the public officials. While the raw numbers are low, the trend could be troubling.
