Yesterday was a TEN Green Arrow Day

Fewer & Fewer Open Net Cases (Germ Carriers)

Good Morning,

The trends are very favorable, new cases, fatalities, recoveries, and a significant drop in those with the virus in intensive care. At the end of last week, there were only 3,129 in need of intensive care, a 26% drop from last week.

Perhaps the best news is that there are only about 221,000 Open Net Cases (ONC) or germ carriers, those with the virus active enough to spread to others. For comparison purposes, there were more than 7 million in early January of this year. That’s roughly 0.07% of the US population. We’d like to hear more public officials encouraging self-quarantine and or mask-wearing for those that are sick. It would seem that isolating those with the virus is more practical than putting onerous burdens on all others.

The “New Case” graph (below) shows the continual drop in new cases. We are back to this past summer levels when Covid 19 and Covid Delta cases were believed to be all but gone. In the United States, 215 million, or 64%, have completed their respective vaccination regimen. That number combined with those that have achieved natural immunity probably has our country at a better than 80% Herd Immunity Factor.
