They're (New Cases) Back!
Yesterday was a SEVEN Green Arrow Day
Good Morning,
Last week there were 64,925 more new cases, or by 18%, which is a bit less than the previous week’s increase of 30%. The more significant number of new cases was 41% greater than at the beginning of the month. The graph below shows the trend, which appears to be steady negatively. It doesn’t appear that new cases are accelerating at the high rates we have seen in the past.
We adjusted our “New Cases” bar chart to provide a narrower view from February 20, 2022, to the present. Notice that new cases are almost twice the size as a few weeks ago. We would ask whether there is enough herd immunity to thwart the growth of new cases?
Open Net Cases (ONC) or active germ carriers increased from 536,535 to 621,247 or 16%. The 84,712 ONC increase, of course, follows new cases—still a tiny number versus January’s highest level of over 7 million ONC.
