Steady Increase but Not Acceleration of New Cases

Yesterday was a TEN Green Arrow Day

Good Morning,

New cases are on the rise but at a relatively steady versus an accelerated pace. Last week, 81,872 more recent cases, or an 18% increase, were the same rate as the previous week. The graph below shows the trend over the last several weeks depicted by the red arrow.

We adjusted our “New Cases” bar chart to provide a narrower view from February 20, 2022, to the present. Notice that new cases are almost twice the size as a month ago. We would ask whether there is enough herd immunity, either naturally acquired or through vaccinations, to thwart the growth of new cases?

Open Net Cases (ONC) or active germ carriers increased from 621,247 to 736,098 or 19%. The 114,851 ONC increase, of course, follows new cases—still a tiny number versus January’s highest level of over 7 million ONC.
