Slight Uptick in New Cases
Yesterday was a NINE Green Arrow Day
Good Morning,
Last week there were 43,247 more new cases, or a 22.5% increase compared to the week before. A relatively small number considering that we had weekly totals of 5 million new cases in January just a few months ago. This could be a trend, but it was a holiday week which at times distorts the data. That combined with Spring Break festivities and the like may be information flowing through the system.
Open Net Cases (ONC) or active germ carriers increased from 253,868 to 296,186 or 16.7%. The 42,318 ONC increase, of course, follows new cases—still a tiny number versus January’s highest level of over 7 million ONC.
The “New Case” graph (below) shows a relatively flat trend over the last seven weeks. Let’s hope that continues or falls further.
