Sunday was a SIX Green Arrow Day.

Comparisons by Region?

Good Morning,

There are many opinions about dealing with COVID 19; one has to turn on the news. We decided to look at other regions, some with stringent protocols and others that rely on their citizens to self-regulate their risk and potential exposure.

The regions we picked are the USA and some European countries. Notice that the USA has the highest cases/million yet relatively low fatalities/100,000. The USA and the UK have the highest test rates, both over 500,000/million. New York has the highest deaths/100,000, while Sweden has a much lower rate.

What struck us is that Sweden relies on self-regulation and has avoided issuing country-wide guidelines and edicts yet has the lowest cases and the second-fewest fatality rate behind the Netherlands.

We tend to agree with several world-renowned epidemiologists that the virus will take its course, and the best we can do, until there is a vaccine, is protect those most vulnerable.

Happy Thanksgiving to you and your family!
