Sunday was a NINE Green Arrow Day.
Leveling of New Cases
Good Morning,
At the end of August, there were over 1 million new cases per week. Since then, recent cases have dropped precipitously to less than 450,000 per week (see chart below).
Through the first week of November, 192.4 million Americans have received their complete regimen of vaccinations, or 58%, with another 31.2 million in the queue to finish their requirement. Over the past several weeks, we are averaging about 1.2 million added to the fully vaccinated category. Not all of those in the queue will complete their process. The data clearly shows there has not been an acceleration in the pace of vaccinations over the last several months.
Slowly we are approaching the Herd Immunity Factor (HIF), the combination of those that have acquired natural immunity or through vaccination. Currently, we are hovering in the mid 70 percentile of HIF. The 192.4 vaccinated plus those that had the virus and “officially recorded” 18.8 million, plus those counted as a new case but yet to be classified as closed, 42.7 million is the HIF. That equates to 76% of our population. We believe the HIF is at least 80%. That means we will probably not see another significant drop until HIF is reached.
